  • Business owners looking to create a strong presence on LinkedIn
  • Affiliates and marketers hoping to optimize their LinkedIn profiles

Common Causes/Issues

  • Selected LinkedIn cover photo appears pixelated or incorrectly sized
  • Important text or graphics are cut off on different devices
  • Cover photo lacks branding and isn’t professional enough

LinkedIn Cover Photo Dimensions

Choosing the wrong image size for your LinkedIn cover photo can result in images that look pixelated, have graphics cut off, and other visual issues. Keeping the ideal dimensions in mind can help you select the right size photo.

Platform

Recommended Dimensions

Personal Profile

1584 x 396 pixels

Company Page

1128 x 191 pixels

Other considerations:

  • Keep important text and images centered to avoid cropping
  • Use high-resolution images for a professional appearance
  • Ensure branding aligns with your business identity

Choose the Right Design Elements

Choosing (or creating) an image with the right design elements matters, too. Here are  a few best practices to keep in mind:

Use your branding. That means:

  • Include your company logo for brand recognition
  • Maintain a consistent color scheme with your brand
  • Ensure text fonts match your other marketing materials

Add a message or call to Action (CTA) to the image.

  • For example, "Helping new drivers gain confidence on the road,” or “Explore our current class schedule now!”
  • Use contrasting colors to make your CTA stand out
  • Remember, CTA is not clickable so include a URL or QR code in the text

Keep it simple and professional.

  • Avoid clutter—stick to a clean and minimal design
  • Be careful not to overwhelming the image with text, stick to 1 or 2 key messages
